Julie Thorne Engels is a lifelong visionary, strategist and entrepreneur with a passion for employing creativity to drive business and social change. As Tribemint’s CEO, Julie has merged her talents to launch a creative brand agency that truly believes in the power of building “tribes” around brands through shared values and purpose-driven initiatives. Mission-based engagement invites brand loyalty, allowing companies to thrive in a competitive, ever-changing marketplace. She has a proven track record of executing integrated consumer activation strategies with measurable results for clients such as Paramount, FX Networks, Nikon, ABC Entertainment, Lifetime Television, USA Networks, and DreamWorks to name just a few.

Tribemint assists companies to strategically grow their brands at all stages of their life cycle beginning with concept validation and MVP development and then focusing on product launch and finding product-market fit. The team also plays an active role in mentoring entrepreneurs in LA and Aspen, hosting their Brand Vision Workshop throughout the year to foster the spirit of “dreaming big” (especially where diversity is a factor). Before starting Tribemint in 2013, Julie founded Bettyvision, an online vision board platform empowering women to visualize their dreams and make them a reality with community support.

Julie is an active member of Aspen Entrepreneurs (AE), where she served as the Executive Director in 2017 helping the non-profit develop and launch an accelerator program which secured funding from Brad and Amy Feld. In addition, Julie invested in Messenger Aspen, a nightlife and Aspen influencer platform founded by Stephanie Janigo. Messenger developed a nightclub concept, Grotto Aspen, and tested it in the downtown core where it became the #1 venue this past summer (stay tuned for news of the next popup experience this winter)!

In continuing support of founders’ developing high-growth businesses, Julie is an instrumental early member of Basalt Chamber’s Blueprint 2.0, Women’s Entrepreneurship Day in Colorado, TuesdayNights in LA, and Women Founders Network. She is an advisor at the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce’s Bixel Exchange in addition to startups – Messenger Aspen, Skye Gallery, Clarity Elise Wovens, The Mindful Vine, Aspen Elevated Health, Diamante, Oramaia, Enrou, ThingsForWork, and Santa Barbara Hustlers.


Lindsey Heisser is an experienced leader with multi-disciplinary skills that encompass all marketing areas including strategy and ideation, consumer engagement promotions, product development, brand integration, strategic alliances, online activations, event marketing, and social media.  Lindsey is the Managing Partner of  Tribemint specializing in brand ideation, technology development, and marketing and communication strategies. Heisser brings her entrepreneurial spirit and innate curiosity of today’s trends to deliver Tribemint’s clients with fully integrated campaign strategies, turning consumers into brand loyalists.

Currently, Lindsey also serves as the Director of Bixel Exchange’s Tech Talent Pipeline program which serves a critical role as the business intermediary, connecting L.A.’s top tech employers to diverse, under-represented high school and community college students that are seeking access and exposure to technology careers.  Bixel Exchange, part of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, benefits from Heisser’s agency savvy in developing win-win programs that thrive enabling Tech Talent Pipeline to engage  50+ L.A. tech companies partners, 10 community colleges, 30 high schools, and over 4,000 students per year.  In partnership, impact academic curricula is deployed to deliver career pathways for many young Angelinos who may have otherwise been overlooked.

Prior to joining Tribemint, Heisser was Director of Marketing at The Regan Group, a consumer engagement agency entrenched in entertainment and consumer packaged goods industries. It was during her 5-year tenure at the agency, Lindsey Heisser met, Tribemint’s CEO,  Julie Thorne Engels, and together they shaped the company culture and drove the agency’s most profitable years in business.



As the founder of Messenger Aspen, Stephanie has spent the last 3 years creating a successful and trusted nightlife and entertainment guide for Aspen, Colorado. Messenger Aspen quickly changed from an online calendar of events to a dynamic promotional service; forming a loyal local following and a wide network of trusted partnerships. Where many clubs focus on providing to tourists, Stephanie won over the hearts of the locals by bringing new experiences to town and creating environments where people could connect. It didn’t take long for Messenger to grow into a full production event planning company which curates, activates, and executes;  parties, fundraisers, and community events. With over 15 years of experience in hospitality ranging from nearly every position from janitor to management positions, Stephanie has the ability to understand the large picture of the hospitality experience and manage a wide range of positions and personalities.
